Why net PnL is rarely what you expected
Three costs sit between a price move and the balance in your account: the fee paid entering, the fee paid exiting, and funding for every hour the position stayed open. On a short hold the fees dominate; past a few days, funding usually does.
Fees here assume the base taker tier on both legs. Posting as maker lowers them, and high volume lowers them further. Your real tier is visible on your wallet page.
